DR. Nick Thurlow PT, DPT

Dr. Nick Thurlow, a Colorado native, discovered his passion for physical therapy while recovering from a sports injury in high school. This experience ignited his desire to help others through the field of physical therapy. He pursued his academic journey at Colorado State University, where he earned a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. Driven by his dedication to understanding human movement and performance, he furthered his education at the University of Colorado, earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).

In 2017, with a vision to deliver elite-level care to baseball players, Dr. Thurlow established Next ERA Physical Therapy, serving the south metro area of Colorado. By 2020, Next ERA expanded its reach, opening a location in Tempe, Arizona, where it has gained recognition for its work with athletes from all 30 MLB organizations, as well as high school and college players nationwide. Committed to a fully collaborative approach to baseball development, Next ERA now offers performance training, throwing training, and hitting at its location inside the Marucci Hitters House in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Dr. Thurlow's deep expertise in the baseball industry has led him to collaborate with numerous rehab and performance specialists, and he serves as a concierge specialist for several MLB players during the season. His dedication to education is evident in his training of over 30 Doctors of Physical Therapy, including his staff, as he continually strives to grow within the industry.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Thurlow enjoys a fulfilling family life with his wife, who is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-owner of Next ERA, and their two daughters.
